The Sandy Hunter Library in Orange Walk Town was built in 1982 on the site of the old hospital. It was named for Alexander (Sandy) Hunter, the former minister of Trade and Industry. The Cane Farmers Association donated $80,000 to help build the library in Hunter's name.

Angel Says: Read Executive Director Jackie Spinner unloads a carton of books May 15 at the Sandy Hunter Library in Orange Walk Town. The books were the first donation from Angel Says: Read and were valued at more than $700 (list price).

The Angel Says: Read logo was designed by artist Reynaldo Narvallez, 22, of the village of Guinea Grass. It incorporates the keel-billed toucan, the national bird of Belize, with a Mayan figurehead to create an angel
